Why work for us?

Based in Bracknell, we are a Community Benefit Society that supports patients in East Berkshire when GP surgeries are closed. We cover 400,000 patients in Berkshire, 30,000 in South Bucks and 250,000 in Richmond and Twickenham. We’re open 24 hours, 365 days a year, with on-call support always available.

Becoming an Out of Hours GP is often a more flexible way to work. We offer more changing patterns of work than regular practitioners, offering both regular and flexible shift patterns.

Working times for an out of hours GP might include weekends, evenings, nights and public holidays. These hours are generally well suited to those who need more flexibility in their lifestyles, such as parents of small children or those looking to study or train in new areas.

Our OOHs team are well supported and often work sessions out of hours as well as being a GP at a local practice.

Out of hours comes with many benefits- change of pace, more interesting cases, reduced commute time and the flexibility of irregular work times. We believe your job should fit into your life, not the other way around and make sure that work/ life balance is a priority.
